Why We Built This Site
Washington gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. In Yakima County, the Clerk of Superior Court handles felony, family, civil, and probate cases filed in Superior Court. The District Court keeps its own records for misdemeanors, infractions, and small claims. The Yakima County Department of Corrections manages the jail roster. Add the Washington State Patrol's WATCH service and the statewide Odyssey Portal, and the picture gets crowded fast. This site pulls together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.
Yakima County Superior Court sits at 128 N 2nd Street in downtown Yakima. The Clerk of Superior Court is in Room 323 of the same building. Most of the records people ask about flow through that one address, but the room number matters. We list the right rooms and direct-dial numbers so you reach the right person the first time.
What You Will Find Here
On this site you will find pages organized by record type, each covering the Yakima County office that holds the record, the search tools available, the fees, and the steps to request copies. The content covers both Superior Court and District Court records, jail and inmate data, warrant information, marriage and divorce records, and probate files.
- Records pages by type: court records, arrest records, inmate records, warrant records, marriage and divorce, probate records, and more
- Office contacts: direct contact info for the Clerk of Superior Court, Superior Court, and major Yakima County facilities
- Search walkthroughs: step-by-step guides for the Yakima County records portal, the Washington Courts statewide case search, and the Odyssey Portal
- Public records help: how to file an open records request in Yakima County and what to expect for response time under Washington's Public Records Act (RCW 42.56)
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Washington court, clerk's office, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right Yakima County office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
Keeping Information Current
Yakima County clerk offices move. Hours change. Phone numbers get reassigned. The courthouse at 128 N 2nd Street includes a midday closure, and the holiday schedule shifts each year. We update pages as we hear about changes, but gaps happen. Before you drive to the Yakima County Courthouse, call ahead first.
